{"id":3450,"date":"2020-11-09T16:51:28","date_gmt":"2020-11-09T21:51:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/matroidunion.org\/?p=3450"},"modified":"2020-12-01T09:59:26","modified_gmt":"2020-12-01T14:59:26","slug":"open-problem-session-on-dec-14","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/matroidunion.org\/?p=3450","title":{"rendered":"Open Problems Session- Dec 14"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>For the last week of the &#8220;Graphs and Matroids&#8221; seminar this year, on <strong>December 14th<\/strong> we will hold an open problems session from <strong>1:30 &#8211; 4:00pm ET<\/strong> with beer time afterwards (BYOB \ud83d\ude42 ). The idea is to better mimic an in-person conference with time for problems, discussions, and informal chats. For each problem, we&#8217;ll have a &lt;5 minute slide presentation, plus a little time for discussion afterwards. There will be two sessions of about an hour each with a break in-between.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you want to present a problem<\/strong>, please email [rose.mccarty @ uwaterloo.ca]. No details are needed yet, but if you can&#8217;t make both of the sessions please say which one you&#8217;ll be attending (earlier or later).<\/p>\n<p>And if you have any <strong>suggestions<\/strong> for best practices\/software\/etc. for an online event like this, please also email [rose.mccarty @ uwaterloo.ca].
